ESP Tools · Destructive action
Put your ESP device into download mode, detect the chip and then erase the complete external flash. The operation runs locally through Web Serial.
The complete external flash will be erased: firmware, bootloader, partition table, NVS settings, Wi-Fi credentials and file systems. The original firmware can only be restored from an existing backup or vendor source.
NVS, LittleFS and SPIFFS use different addresses depending on the firmware. Selective erasure without a verified partition table would be unsafe. This general tool therefore only erases the complete flash; project-specific resets can later be offered through verified firmware manifests.
