- DIY – choose and flash the firmware yourself — Firmware is not pre-installed. Select either the Weather Display or Home Assistant Dashboard in the browser-based SpacePC Web Flasher.
- Pre-flashed – Weather Display — The stable Weather Display firmware is pre-installed and the complete display refresh is tested. After assembly, configure Wi-Fi and OpenWeatherMap.
- Pre-flashed – Home Assistant Dashboard — The stable Home Assistant Dashboard firmware is pre-installed and the complete display refresh is tested. After assembly, configure Wi-Fi and the SpacePC integration in Home Assistant.

Assembly and wiring
The Home Assistant dashboard uses the same SpacePC 7.5″ E-Paper Kit and enclosure as the weather display. Follow the complete kit guide for assembly and wiring.
Firmware installation
Install the stable SpacePC Home Assistant Display build 0.1.3 with the browser-based Web Flasher. The build supports the Good Display GDEY075Z08, ESP32-L and DESPI-C02.

First setup over Wi-Fi
After the first start, the device creates a temporary Wi-Fi access point. Connect a phone or computer to this network. The setup page should open automatically as a captive portal. Enter your Wi-Fi credentials and the project-specific settings, save them, and wait for the device to restart.
If the page does not open automatically, temporarily disable mobile data or VPN and open the local setup address from the project-specific details below. Do not enter credentials for a network you do not control.
Details for this project
After flashing, the device creates a temporary Wi-Fi access point with a captive portal. Connect the display to your Wi-Fi network, then add the automatically discovered device in the SpacePC Home Assistant integration.
Home Assistant setup
The SpacePC Home Assistant integration is required. Configure up to six display slots with entities and select value, state or graph presentation, history period, refresh interval and a custom header. MQTT is not required for this project.
